Evilution Tattoos Aftercare Instructions
Please read the following carefully
You have just received a professionally performed tattoo using sterile equipment and single use disposable sterilized needles. Please respect your artists' work and your investment by taking proper can of your new piece of art.
Day 1
Always wash your hands using a liquid antibacterial soap before touching your tattoo during the entire healing period. Can be up to 21 days. You will leave with a bandage on your tattoo. Remove the bandage after 1 to 2 hours. Wet the bandage with warm water for easy removal. Do not re-bandage the tattoo! Wash your tattoo with warm water and liquid anti-bacterial soap, using only your fingertips in a circular motion. Pat dry using a paper towel (bath towels harbor germs). Allow to dry for up to 12 hours. DO NOT apply any ointment to your tattoo until 12 hours have passed.
From Day 2 Until Healed:
Wash your hands then apply lotion after showers and whenever it feels dry or itchy. No more than 3 times a day.
DO NOT scratch your tattoo or pick the scabs!
The healing period of a tattoo can vary from 1-3 weeks. Until you are completely healed it is very important that you do not allow your tattoo in the sun, saltwater, chlorinated pools, hot tubs or spas. Do not soak it in any water for long periods of time.
To keep your colors looking bright and your tattoo looking good for a lifetime you must apply a strong sun block to the tattoo every time you are in the sun. Ultraviolet light from the sun forces the tattoo deeper into the skin causing that "dull" look.
***If you have any questions or concerns with your tattoo do not hesitate to call or come in for expert advice.
Consult a health care professional if you develop redness, swelling, rash, drainage or a fever within 24 hours of receiving your tattoo that is not explained by another reason such as flu or another illness. Infections are caused by improper aftercare, not the tattoo process. Allergic reactions are possible.***
If an adverse reaction occurs, contact your personal physician and SNDH special programs at 759-0677.

Lifetime Care:
Yes, your Tattoo can stay beautiful and bright for a lifetime with proper care. SUN is a Tattoo's worst enemy. Always apply a strong
sun block BEFORE exposing your Tattoo to the sun. Use at least 30 SPF sun block. If you have one or two small Tattoos you can use a lip balm with strong sun block for easy application.
Dry skin will make a Tattoo appear dull. Just rub on a little body lotion or oil and your tattoo will brighten up instantly. Infections and allergic reactions are extremely rare, but possible. Please call us immediately if you are having any problems. Come in if possible so we can look at it and offer suggestions. Please remember that your Tattooist is a professional with concern for your health as well as doing great art work. You’re welcome to stop back in or call if you have any questions or concerns.
