February Shop Update
With the holiday months finally over, business is picking up! It's good to have people coming through the doors again. Tax refund season is always good for the tattoo business!
Shop Updates:
Brandon spent some quality time this month in meeting with the new management company for the shopping center the shop is in. There were a whole variety of recording and permit issues. As it turns out, despite this having been a tattoo shop before we moved in, the old shop never got permits or a business license! Have to love those upright business practices! According to Clark County our space was build-out free. Which, if you've seen our three booths, is certainly not the case. Everything is taken care of on that end though, finally.

Shop Crew Updates:
Randy, Lisa, and Isaac are still waiting expectantly for their little bundle of joy. Only a month and a half to go!

Brian was out of the shop for a couple of weeks at the end of January while he traveled to Japan with a friend.

It's looking like Eric is finally going to get his truck back this month! He's been waiting 7 months to get it repaired, and the autobody shop has been giving him the run-around.

Brandon and I are still plodding along. He's been working on getting the Evilution Tattoos website up and running. It's been giving him fits.
I spent the first couple weeks of January in Moab, UT with my mom, relaxing and catching up on some school stuff. I quit smoking and started getting more exercise. I start massage school of February 8th.

Shop Friends Update:
Our friend and client (as well as a very talented artist) Amanda and her husband (also a client), Jim had a baby boy on December 31st. Calvin was born a little over a month and a half early. They're looking forward to taking him home as soon as he is at least 4lbs and can eat regularly.

For those of you from the Valley, if you remember when the Vail Trail was in circulation, Amanda designed most of the covers.
Please send prayers and warm wishes to them, and wish Calvin a speedy weight gain so he can come home with his family!

We've got some exciting new things planned for the upcoming months. Keep your eyes on this blog and our twitter feed for updates!

January Evilution Tattoos Shop Update
Hello Everyone!
We made it through 2009 in our new location. Can you believe it?! A couple more months and we'll have officially been here a year.
It's certainly been an interesting year. Las Vegas offers many hoops for those wishing to own their own businesses. The health board, the business license office, and of course the ever present property management company. Hard to believe that almost a year in and we're still trying to untangle the threads!
We opened our doors on March 1, 2009, with Brandon and Randy as artists and one spare 'storage' booth. We had some wonderful help and support from family members and friends who were eager to see the bigger place in action. Since then we've seen one artist come and go and now have had the pleasure of adding Brian and Eric to the mix.
We've had a few great promotional events this year. Including raffles and gift certificate give aways at Little Darlings (thanks to Brian for setting that up for us!) and the Velvet Lion. Brandon's also been giving a shout-out to home by doing some give-aways at Screwballs, our local Broncos bar. Randy's wife, Lisa and son Isaac have been a great help in promoting and getting the word out about the shop.
We have big goals for the new year. We hope to add two more stations to the shop, and bring in some more talent. We also have some excellent new promotions and specials in the works. Maybe if we get lucky Justin will make his way out here and do a guest spot for us!
Brandon's been working hard on remodeling the website and we hope to have that up and running by the beginning of February. So keep your eyes peeled!
Randy and Lisa are expecting their second child, Carol, in March, so send warm wishes their way.
To all of our clients, friends, and family. Thank you for all of your support in 2009, and we hope to see in you in 2010. May it be a healthy and prosperous year for all!
